You wake up, alone, on a strange island full of puzzles.

Now either this quote is describing my social life, or it’s talking about the game that’s free right now on Epic Games Store. Just to be on the safe side, we’re going to talk about the free game.

Epic Games Store – the controversial, Steam-users-hate-it digital distribution store on PC – is at it again with its “free game” shenanigans. This time, for another two weeks until April 18, 2019, you can get the game “The Witness” for free. And as the quote says, its about you solving puzzles in an island – made by famed game designer Jonathan Blow.

As usual to get the game for free you need to be a card-carrying (*no card required) member of the Epic Games Store. Which only requires you to sign up and install the PC game distribution platform. Epic is giving away these games because its an introductory offer to get people to install their marketplace – increasing the userbase and potential buyers of future games.

The good news for you, is that you can get games like “The Witness” for free. And as we mentioned before, all you have to do is sign up (or sign in if you already have an account), install the Epic Games Store (or run it if you already have it installed), and buy the free game in the store. The link to the game on the web is here if you want to learn more about it, but to buy it you have to do it on the store. And yes, its free to own if you get it before April 18, 2019.

That’s all there is to it; grab your free game now! (Assuming you’re not one of those Steam consumers who have chosen to boycott Epic Games Store due to their exclusivity policies and other such controversial issues…)
