Slime Rancher Is Free On Epic Games Store This Week

Want a free, cutesy, game which I haven’t exactly played yet but I assume its about farming little cute blobs of slime in first person like some sort of Minecraft? Well, you’re in luck because on the Epic Games Store (PC Only) you can get Slime Rancher for free this week! All you need is just to login onto the Epic Games Store and click on the “Buy” button and pay the $0.00 to own the free game.

BUT WHY IS IT FREE? (Explanation below)

As with all these free games to own – well this type of them anyway – these are ways for new online game stores to bring in more people into their ecosystem. A lot of consumers will likely be used to the Steam Store, maybe have Origin (EA), UPlay (Ubisoft), but a store that’s just starting out will always want to get more users to install and adapt – hence Epic Games Store is giving away games for free every week. And this week its Slime Rancher; (last week was a game called Timbleweed Park.)

So that’s basically the catch. You’re somewhat asked to register and if you intend to play the game, you’ll need to install the Epic Games Store on your PC. If you already play Fortnite, then you probably already had it installed anyway – which makes this free game just that – a free game for very little effort needed.
