LG’s much awaited followup to the flagship G4 is finally here! But wait, why does it look different? Why are there two camera modules on the back? What’s going on with all these “LG Friends”? Well, the simple answer is that the Korean company has had an epiphany and decided to build the G5 from the ground up to be a metal-built, modular smartphone. That means you’ll still get the removable battery but now it’ll come from the bottom latch of the phone that you can swap into things like a camera grip or HiFi DAC. You’ll also get features like the ability to switch from the main 16MP OIS camera to another 8MP wide camera; an interface for accessories like a 360 degree camera, VR headset, and a rolling bot. (What’s a rolling bot? Better you just watch the video above.) Anyway, the specs of the phone are flagship level as you would expect and is technically the first official smartphone in the Philippines with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, so you know its good. Check out the video above to see more or read up on the specs below!
The LG G5 is available now in gray, titan, gold, and pink for the aforementioned PHP 34,990 price. Check it out at your nearest LG retailer!
