Your favorite independent-sourced game bundle that helps charity is back! Except this time the games aren’t even made by Indie developers, its from major publisher THQ. That can only mean one thing: stupendously awesome games for any kind of money you want to shell out (minimum $1)! Yes, the Humble Bundle is a bundle of games which you can buy for literally any amount of money you choose. Its like an honesty system coupled with a charity drive which include the Child’s Play Charity and the American Red Cross. If that’s not convincing enough, the games include some recent triple-A titles from publisher THQ including Darksiders, Metro 2033, and Company of Heroes. You’ll need to shell out at least $1 and have a Steam account for this one though, as THQ will no doubt want to manage the DRM for these games. (Previous Humble Bundles have been DRM free.) Whichever the case, hop on over to HumbleBundle.Com to grab this bundle or hop over the jump for some extra details and a video.

Humble THQ Bundle include:

  • Darksiders – a dark and twisted game that most people would say is a mix of Zelda and God of War
  • Metro 2033 – post apocalyptic FPS or something
  • Red Faction: Armageddon – open world game set in Mars
  • Company of Heroes + Opposing Fronts + Tales of Valor – World War 2 RTS game that popularized the concepts of cover, suppression, and tank positioning, among other things.
  • Saints Row: The Third – if you pay more than the average amount, you get this game. Saints Row is a GTA-style open world game except The Third is an extremely over-the-top version that’s been a runaway hit. If you can, this is a game you shouldn’t miss.

The bundle is available from now until 14 days from now. These guys typically get some big donations too so we’re looking forward to seeing how they fare. As of this moment, they have about US $55,000. That goes a long way in helping charity, and gets yourself some pretty awesome games as well.

If you still don’t know how it works, check out the video below.
