According to a Chinese Weibo post, OnePlus is looking for their main smartphone line an upgrade when it comes to camera capabilities.
Digital Chat Station hinted on a Weibo post that OnePlus’ SM8650 device will have a periscopic camera lens. To those who are unfamiliar, SM8650 is the alleged part number of Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform. The post means that the phonemaker’s upcoming flagship device will have a periscopic lens.
The information point out that it would be the upcoming OnePlus 12 since the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 would power next year’s flagship devices. Also, the tipster hinted that realme will also use a periscopic camera lens.
The tipster also noted that not all of the following devices described will use the Omnivision OV64B which has been used in a number of devices that sport a periscopic camera lens.
