The POCO F series has been a staple in the flagship killer category. Since the POCO F1, POCO has made some waves with the excellent POCO F3 featuring the Snapdragon 870 and high refresh rate OLED display and the POCO F4 improving slightly with a better camera configuration. While the F4 has been a good contender, we felt that the F series is due for a performance uplift.
Xiaomiui has rummaged different model numbers which point out to the possible POCO F5 to be announced soon. They found out that the model number of the rumored Redmi K60 and the POCO F5 are in congruence.
If they match, the rumored specifications of the Redmi K60 show promise. This includes some great improvements in the performance and display capabilities of the device.
The Redmi K60 is rumored to have the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. This brings substantial improvement from the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 from the K50 and over a 30% boost in some benchmarks over the Snapdragon 870 found on the F4 and the F3.
Aside from that, the K60 will be having a Quad HD OLED panel. If the F5 Pro is a rehash of the K60, this will be the first POCO smartphone to be having a 2K display.
The POCO F5 Pro is expected to be announced this year as the flagship device from POCO. The specifications show promise of being another jump from the POCO F3 and the POCO F1.
