vivo S15e launches in China with capable Exynos 1080, 66W charging for PHP 16K equivalent

Vivo launches the S15e offering interesting set of hardware at a low asking price. The device retails currently in China for 1999CNY or PHP 16K equivalent when converted.

Starting with the chip inside, vivo harnessed the device with the Exynos 1080 chip. This silicon was already used on the X60 series that launched in China and is no slouch compared to the Exynos 1280. Not to be confused, this is manufactured by Samsung at 5nm, has an ARM Cortex A78 based CPU cores and a 10 core Mali G78 GPU. It manages to tie with the Snapdragon 865 in AnTuTu benchmark.

It’s display stands out, probably in a bad way to some. It still features a spillway notch at the top center which houses the 16MP selfie snapper. A 90Hz 6.44″ Full HD OLED panel will greet the user for media.

Being a midrange device, the S15e introduces a fair affair in the rear camera system. It is lead by a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide shooter and an extra 2MP.

It boots up OriginOS Ocean on top of Android 11. OriginOS Ocean is vivo’s Android skin on Chinese markets, replacing FuntouchOS. The battery is pegged at 4700mAh and charges at 66W.

Below are the converted prices and key specifications of the S15e. It is unknown if it will ever arrive in the Philippines as past S series from China hasn’t.
