High Performing 6nm MediaTek Chip Rumored To Clock In At 3.2GHz

While MediaTek has already teased their upcoming chip way back at their summit built in 6nm fabrication process and clocked at 3GHz. A new rumor from Weibo has surfaced and it indicates that a higher variant maybe currently in testing.

Digital Chat Station has posted information regarding this MediaTek Chip. He indicated that it is built on a 6nm manufacturing process, this is assumed to be the same node as the teased high end MediaTek processor from before. Though different from before now it is running faster at 3.2GHz. This is the fastest running chip in clock speeds for smartphone processors to date, in case. The HiSilicon Kirin 9000 trails behind and runs a bit slower at 3.13GHz.

Lastly, the tipster also added a clue that it may be Xiaomi that is currently testing the alleged chip.

Benchmarks are currently undisclosed as of now. But judging its preliminary specs, it may shape up as a very powerful processor for mobile computing.
