Just recently, MediaTek already launched their follow-up on the successful Dimensity 1000 processors. Further growing the Dimensity 1000 series, the Dimensity 1200 and 1100 offer higher end specifications that is available to manufacturers to utilize on more affordable midrange smartphones.

MediaTek packed the 1200 with raw power with it having four ARM Cortex A77 cores. One of those is cranked up to 3GHz and the other three at 2.6GHz. The other four cores are ARM Cortex-A55 solutions running at 2GHz.

It has a Mali G77 with nine shader cores for graphics performance such as titles that would run on your device. It can support for up to Quad HD at 90Hz and up to 168Hz at Full HD displays.

For the cameras, the new chip is capable of maneuvering 200MP sensors and 4K 60fps at 10bit video.

With 5G, the Dimensity 1200 is capable of dual standby sub-6GHz and lacks support for mmWave tech.

As for the Dimensity 1100, it is a toned down Dimensity 1200 with now all performance cores at 2.6GHz, less powerful GPU and APU for AI performance and only supports 144Hz at 1080p displays.

A brief breakdown of their specifications are listed below.
