Apple A14 Benchmarks On iPhones Lower Than iPad

Apple launched the iPad Air 4 and the iPhone 12 series last September and October respectively. Apple noted on their two different keynotes that the devices are powered by their new mobile platform built on 5nm process, the Apple A14 Bionic. Though Apple has been known to prioritize efficiency and heat dissipation on the iPhones, some speculate that the A14 Bionic on the iPhond is not the same as the iPad.

According to AnTuTu, that maybe the case.
AnTuTu on Weibo shared two photos of tests for both iPhone 12 and the iPad Air 4, both touting the Apple A14 Bionic. The results show that the iPad garnered a much higher score compared to the iPhone. The iPhone topped at almost 565,000 and the iPad crossed the 660,000 by just. A noticeable 10% bump is seen in the CPU and 30% in GPU.

AnTuTu speculates that Apple maybe, indeed, optimizing the A14 on the iPhone for better thermals and power draw. This is because of the iPhone having a smaller form factor in which a lesser battery can be fit in and better heat dissipation.

By their statement, we can assume that the rumors about Apple maybe true. But it is also better to seek on other benchmarks to see if results are consistent.
