Vivo Y50 is the latest jab from the Chinese firm, released just recently, for the midrange market. It touts a punch-hole cutout, which is a trend for devices as of lately. Aside from that, the device sports a quadruple rear camera setup and a decent Snapdragon 665 mobile platform.

The Y-series of devices has gained a retouch with the Y50’s front and back aesthetics. The display on the front has a punch-hole cutout on the top left corner. This replaces the waterdrop notch found on previous iterations on the series. The panel displays 6.53 inches of content at Full HD resolution with IPS LCD technology. The selfie camera in the pinhole effort is a 16MP camera.

The rear has a rectangular module housing three cameras and its sensors. The system is composed of a main 13MP shooter, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a pair of 2MP sensors for macro and depth responsibilities.
Chucked in the device is a Snapdragon 665 mobile platform running at 2GHz paired with an Adreno 610 for Android titles. It only has a lone 8GB and 128GB memory combo and is user-expandable for up to 512GB.

The device at full tank is rated at 5000mAh and has support for up to 18W fast charging. FuntouchOS 10 based on Android 10 is booting up the device.

The device retails for $249 or about PHP 14K. Availability in the Philippines is still yet to be announced.
