Oppo has a new mid to entry-level smartphone in the new Oppo A9 2020 – which we assume is named that because its the model meant for late 2019 to 2020 and an update to the current Oppo A9. Upgraded to the new, apparently very standard, 48MP standard camera now for these midrangers, the 2020 also packs a 5,000 mAh Battery and that large MP sensor is also helped along by an ultrawide 8MP and double 2MP sensors one for depth and the other for – we can only guess – extra color / low light information.

To that effect, if you wanna get in on this smartphone, Oppo is already offering a pre-order for it in the form of what they call a “Blind Order” as the smartphone brand is keeping the price a secret a bit longer before the launch.

Scroll down to see the specs of this device and more details on the pre-order and its freebie/s!

Oppo A9 2020 – Price TBA (Pre-Orders Now Open)

  • 6.5″ 1600×720 IPS Display with waterdrop notch
  • 48MP Wide + 8MP Ultrawide + 2MP (Unknown) + 2MP Depth Sensor Rear Cameras
  • 16MP Front Camera
  • Android 9.0 with ColorOS
  • 8GB RAM / up to 28GB ROM / MicroSD Expandable
  • Triple Slot (2 SIM + 1 MicroSD)
  • Rear Fingerprint Scanner
  • 5,000 mAh Battery
  • 4K Video Recording, EIS capable (probably not in 4K)
  • Dolby Atmos & Dual Stereo Speakers

Its hard to guess what the price on this phone is going to be, but given the specs it should come in at Oppo’s entry to mid price point. The price will be revealed on September 19, so its not too long a wait to find out. But if you wanna secure your unit, you should consider Pre-Ordering one by going to any Oppo Concept Store nationwide and pay a (non-refundable) downpayment of PHP 1,000. (US$ 20)

If you do pre-order you’ll get a XSound Wireless Bluetooth Headset worth PHP 2,099 (according to Oppo) as a freebie, and you’ll be able to get your units starting September 28th.

Anyway, if you’re curious you can read up more about the Oppo A9 2020 on Oppo’s page here.
