Nokia of course, under HMD Global’s ownership, has definitely been busy lately with some solid offerings like the Nokia 6 and 8 (among others) . But in 2018 they’re definitely turning it up a notch. (But without the notch, if you get what I’m saying.) The new Nokia Androids are even more powerful, with bigger screens, and have more dedication to stock Android updates – Android One certification, in fact.
Today, Nokia Philippines launched the New Nokia 6 (also known as the 2018 edition), Nokia 7 Plus, and a budget Android Go platform called Nokia 1. Finally, nostalgia seekers will also be happy to hear that the banana 8110 4G feature phone will also make a comeback here.
The Nokia 7 Plus – pictured above is the top line for today’s launch. Powered by a Snapdragon 660, 6 inch 18:9 ratio display, ZEISS Dual Lens Optics, and a large 3800 mAh display. It’ll be available on pre-sale today for PHP 21,990.
For more midrange needs, the 2018 Nokia 6 will be more to your liking. It’ll pack a Snapdragon 630, 1080p display, ZEISS lenses, and the piece of mind of Android One updates. There’s no pricing information just yet, but it shouldn’t be significantly higher than around PHP 15,000.
For the budget conscious Nokia fan who prefers stock android with guaranteed updates, the Nokia 1 will be right up your alley. It’ll be powered by a MediaTek 6737M, 1GB RAM, FWVGA display, and Android Go Oreo version. It’ll be priced at PHP 4,290.
And of course, what would Nokia be if not for their nostalgic offerings. The Nokia 8810 will soon be available as well. No pricing information yet though, but it’ll be available this coming May same as the Nokia 6 (2018).
