Canon has just launched a new no-frills Point & Shoot camera here in the Philippines in the the form of the IXUS 175. Its a 20MP shooter with 8X optical zoom, HD video recording, and priced at only PHP 4,998 – not bad. Its got a key special feature in it’s “Auto Zoom” button, which understands the scene and subjects and will zoom automatically to get the best shot. Other than that it’s fairly straightforward, but with WiFi SD Card support from FlashAir and Eye-Fi. Lastly on the back you get a 2.7″ 230,000-dot LCD for framing your shots and it comes in Red or Silver. Not a bad deal for a sub-5k camera.
