Canon Launches G9 X Enthusiast Camera With 1″ Sensor; Much Slimmer Than G7 X

Canon’s new 1.0 inch sensor line of cameras is getting bigger – or smaller in the case of the G9 X. While most of the competition have started getting bulkier, the G9 X goes back to what made these devices so popular in the first place – portability. At only 31mm thick, the new enthusiast camera can probably claim to be the most pocketable 1″ sensor camera to date, but will still retain most of the specs of it’s brethren – incuding 20MP resolution, image stabilization, and 1080p60FPS video recording.

While it’s bigger brother the G7 X has a few extra features like a flip up touchcreen, more direct controls, and a longer reaching faster lens, the G9 X should still stand on it’s own with it’s more pocketable body. Be on the lookout for these at Canon stores this November.
