A few days ago, Saturday October 31, 2015, we were driving along EDSA headed to Buendia in the early morning when we spotted an MRT3 train stalled in between stations. Passengers have just gotten out of the train and started walking along the tracks back to Guadalupe station – probably about half a kilometer north – without proper walkways or shade. This is just another one of those days when the death trap called the MRT3 experienced some “minor issues,” we guess.
We weren’t able to keep track of the situation on the news as we were driving, so we didn’t know how long the train was stalled. However, having a train stall in between stations on an important day like October 31 at 6:30AM – when people are hopefully on their way to the province and their respective cemeteries – is just another sad reflection of the terrible maintenance and gross negligence we experience everyday from our government.
Are things going to change anytime soon? We hope so.
