While technically a Korean-managed team comprised of Filipino players, DotA 2 team Rave have recently competed in the game’s Asia Championships this February and took home over PHP 6 Million in winnings as the Fifth Place finisher.

Formerly known as EoT Hammer with all Korean players, the team reconfigured when Filipino Mark “Cast” Pilar entered and is now comprised of all Filipinos.

Rave DotA 2 Lineup:

  • Mark “Cast” Pilar
  • Djardel “Chrissy” Mampusti
  • Jio “Jeyo” Madayag
  • Ryo “ry0yr” Hasegawa
  • Michael “ninjaboogie” Ross

South Korea is a country that takes its eSports very seriously, so Filipino Pro Players in a Korean team is a great way for our countrymen to reach higher in the world of competitive video games.

Rave took home Fifth Place in the Asian Tourney, $150k in Winnings, and gives them a better chance at a spot in the World Championships.
