We’ve been waiting for the SKK Mobile Phoenix X1 for almost 3 months now, and it would have been worth the wait had the reported specs been true. But yesterday a limited amount of PX1’s were released and irked its buyers with a slower 1.4Ghz Octa-Core processor instead of the promised 1.7Ghz. People waited three months for this, and are now sufficiently disappointed.

SKK Phoenix X1 – PHP 5,499
By all accounts the Phoenix X1 is still a fairly well-spec’d phone for the PHP 5,499 price, but the falsely advertised clock speed leaves a bad taste in the mouth. With competition in this price range being extremely fierce, this change will definitely upset the plans of consumers who swore to wait for the device. This is why we’re always skeptical about “rumored” specs and “upcoming” devices. They’re never always right.
Even the sale announcement image (posted Nov 3) has the erroneous 1.7Ghz spec
From what we understand the PX1 still sold through all of its stock, so SKK might still have a winner on their hands, just not as #Winning as it was before.
SKK = Sayang Kakaintay Ko or Sulit Kahit Kulang?
