We got to admit – the Native Union Monocle is a bit unusual. (But aren’t we all?) It’s a bit of a mix of headset and speakerphone, but without the telltale headphone band that we’re familiar with. In fact, it doesn’t go over your head but hangs somewhere in/on your bag, or on your person. It fills some fairly interesting needs for users who don’t always want to wear something to cover their ears but want a handy speaker for music or headset for calls. At the same time you don’t have to bring a spare speaker for group music listening either – you just have to turn on the Monocle for some powered audio. For the price of PHP 2,250 this definitely seems like a handy little versatile guy for those purposes. So is it worth? Check out our review to find out!
Native Union Monocle – PHP 2,250 / PHP 2,750 for Copper
Pros:
Cons:
For all intents and purposes the Monocle is a well designed “thing” that seems to do two things. While some may argue that a dedicated headphone combined with a dedicated speaker might do the trick, very few can argue that this isn’t worth the PHP 2,250 price to do both. So there you go.
The Native Union Monocle is available now from stores like Digital Hub, Digital Walker, & Beyond The Box. Might also find them at your nearest audio retailers. Check them out if you’re interested!
