One has to be a little bit different when it comes to specific features to entice consumers these days. We think that’s exactly what the Cherry Mobile Sonic 2.0 is geared to do. While it generally has pretty good specs for its low price of PHP 3,999 with a Quad-Core 1.2Ghz processor, 1GB RAM, and 4.0” touchscreen, it differentiates itself by having access to Glonass satellites and USB functionality. The former is a GPS satellite system for Asia / Eastern Hemisphere which should allow for much faster GPS locks here, while the latter is of course the capability to mount USB drives to your device. (Both of which are quite useful.) And according to this post from the Cherry Mobile fan page, said phone should be arriving this week at their stores. You can check out more detailed specs about it below.

While those specs aren’t necessarily the hottest out there compared to the Flare HD, for consumers who use GPS a lot and/or need to have a phone that has OTG capabilities, then the Sonic 2.0 is a great choice. We haven’t been able to test a Broadcom 23550 processor before, but we think its safe to say it should be able to handle most tasks. Look out for the Cherry Mobile Sonic 2.0 at a retailer near you.
