Pardon us if this review is up a little bit late. But if you think about it, its never too late to get a discounted Quad-Core smartphone with an HD screen this Holiday Season, right? (Hah, that was a pretty good excuse, wasn’t it?) The phone in question is currently one of the more affordable HD androids around with a 5.7” screen – the Cherry Mobile Blaze 2.0. While it debuted at a PHP 9,499 price point – a shade higher than the popular Omega HD 2.0 from the same company – both devices are now quite discounted at PHP 7,999. Yup, that’s 8 grand for either phone that packs a 1.2Ghz Quad-Core Processor, HD display, 12MP BSI Camera, and the like. So should you check out the Blaze 2.0 over the OHD 2.0? Watch our review below to find out!

The Cherry Mobile Blaze 2.0 Gets 4 Out Of 5 Stars

Pros:

  • Large, & high resolution screen
  • Spiffy performance, seems to get updated often
  • above average battery life
  • Camera shots and the 1080p video recording are excellent
  • notification LED

Cons:

  • Software keys with physical redundant home button
  • Slightly bland design especially the back
  • LCD is recessed under the glass more than usual

The Cherry Mobile Blaze 2.0 is surprisingly one of the best cameraphones we can recommend under PHP 10k. And now that the price is under 8k, that’s even more of a bargain. While some parts of the design could have been handled better, there’s no denying that the Blaze 2.0’s technical prowess is superb. In the current market, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a large 5.7” HD screen phablet with Quad-Core performance and stellar imaging for this price. If those aforementioned factors are something you’re looking for, then the Cherry Mobile Blaze 2.0 is for you.
