The OtterBox Defender Case For iPhone4
TenkieBox recently held an event to introduce their popular protective cases for smartphones and tablets from the well-known OtterBox brand. The international gadget casing company has had a pedigree of outstanding protective products for tech products and we’re happy to see that they can be easily found in local stores. You can get OtterBox cases in a variety of lines – the Defender Series, the Reflex Series, the Commuter Series, and the Impact Series. These offer varying amounts of protection with appropriate layers to suit all kinds of lifestyles. You can check out the details of these cases and their features after the jump!
An OtterBox Reflex Case
The OtterBox lineup has four kinds: the Defender Series, Reflex Series, Commuter Series, and Impact Series. The Defender offers the maximum amount of protection for your device as it has two major layers comprising of a hi-impact polycarbonate outer shell, and a durable silicone skin inside. Top it off, the case also includes a belt-clip holster for easy access. The Reflex series has a much thinner profile that is cut in halves which easily snap together onto your phone. It integrates the polycarbonate and rubber for maximum protection in a thin design. Next up is the Commuter series, which for the most part is similar to the Defender series but with a slightly thinner and “commute-friendly” design. (And no belt clip) Finally, you have the Impact series – made of a unique durable silicone case with inner coring, similar to egg crates, that dissipates any drop damage or shock away from the device. All of these cases have holes for all the ports and extra protruding buttons to access the controls of your phone.
OtterBox products are available nationwide through Apple stores and other outdoor/rugged accessory shops. Cases are available for pretty much all popular gadgets including iPhones, iTouches, iPads, Androids, BlackBerries, and well known brands like HTC, Samsung, and Dell. You can grab them at your nearest retailers or check out TenkieBox.PH and order online through them – they even offer free delivery within Metro Manila. They also have a concept store – the first in the world for OtterBox – at SM North EDSA Cyberzone. So check them out if you’re in the neighborhood!

And it wouldn’t be an OtterBox article without a video of some guy dropping his phone, right?
Woah, that’s an impressive 23 floor drop. We wouldn’t’ want to do that with our gadgets, but if we had to, we’d make sure it was inside an OtterBox!
