So while we were out on an errand at the local mall (SM Marikina), we decided to pass by the Cherry Mobile stall there to check out the current crop of devices they offer. Thankfully, the new dual-core Android Magnum 2X was already on display and on stock for shoppers to pick up. The dual-SIM budget resistive screen Eclipse 2.2 droid was also there nearby. Anybody interested in picking any of these two up should be happy to know that they’re out and can finally be put into your hands for the price of PHP 15,899 and PHP 4,899 respectively. But that’s not all we found out – all the old Android Cherry Mobile brothers have been on a price diet and now have had price drops effective immediately. The Cosmo is now PHP 5,999; Nova is now PHP 6,999; the Orbit is now PHP 6,999, and finally probably the best deal here is that the Magnum HD is now PHP 11,999.
If you need more information about these phones, you should dig into our articles that talk about them in detail. You can check out specs and our opinions for the Eclipse 2.2 here, the Cosmo here, the Nova here, the Orbit here (with review), the Magnum HD here, and finally the Magnum 2X here. Whew that was a lot! And if you’re wondering, we do have a Cherry Mobile Nova review coming up – to help you pick out the right device amidst the compelling lineup.
Here are some extra product shots from the Magnum 2X press release for you to ogle as well. Hopefully we’ll be able to preview the device soon!
On a weird note: The printed flyer with the prices for the discounted Android phones had the Magnum 2X price at PHP 15,999, but the image above says PHP 15,899. The correct price is PHP 15,899. In unrelated news, the Superion Tablet is still priced at PHP 13,999.
