Recently, UNO Magazine held a photography and (body painted) fashion showcase with the aim of promoting Filipino arts and design through various electronic media. The theme of the show was “Human Nature,” with photography from newly launched Illustrados PH’s President GT Toledo and the body-paint makeup artistry of the Make Up Forever Pro Team. The event is a fundraiser for the efforts of the Metro Manila Shrine Club, and also part of UNO Magazine’s charity program – UNO Cares. This being a fashion show, we’ll have a large gallery for you to check out after the jump! (And as you might have ascertained from the image above, they’re slightly Not Safe For Work.)
The “Human Nature Photography Fashion Show” depicts the basic elements of nature – Earth, Water, Air and Fire. Photographs were shown according to the theme as well as their corresponding body-painted interpretations. The aim of the fashion show is to promote the ingenuity of Filipinos through art. And bring it back to some more native, human nature-like themes, we gather. The newly launched group of photographers, stylists, and make-up artists of Illustrados PH provided the images, while the expert Make-Up Forever Pro Team delivered their interpretation of the elements through body paintings.
The event is also a fundraising event for the projects of the Metro Manila Shrine Club – a non-profit Masonic and philanthropic organization under Mabuhay Shriners International – headed by President Jon Arayata. It is also a part of UNO Cares, the charity arm of UNO Magazine. It is also supported by the Genting Club, Resorts World Manila, Illustrados PH, Make Up Forever, Bellaroca, Chivas, Pacsports, Naoimi Jewelry, Paradis, and Hershey’s.
And of course, the moment you’ve been waiting for is just below – our gallery of the event!
