Canon Marketing Philippines have just announced the arrival of 5 new Pixma printers to join the well known family of All-In-One (scanner, printer, copier) devices. They are designed with Eco features in mind, but should still deliver the same high quality image prints that the brand is known for. What’s more, the AIO’s (all-in-ones) have been redesigned to look better in any workspace and have also adopted some of the brand’s EOS DSLR camera’s textured designs. The new line of printers range from your budget-conscious consumer printer to much more dedicated imaging printers with back to back automated printing, film scanning, HD movie printing, fun image filters, and even cloud printing without the need for PCs. More detailed specs about these devices are below, after the jump.

The Canon Pixma E500

The Canon Pixma E500, pictured above, is designed to be the most efficient of the five, as it can print up to 1,200 pages in just one set of cartridges. Meaning you can print more, without worrying about having to buy new cartridges so soon. This AIO is priced at PHP 4,495 and can support paper up to Legal size (and photos up to 8×10”), with a maximum DPI of 4800. Other features include HD movie printing (from certain Canon digital cameras), Photo Fix features, and Fun Filters for your images like blurred backgrounds, miniatures, and toy camera effects.

The Pixma MP287

The most affordable new All-In-One is the Pixma MP287 pictured above. It is designed to be the compact yet stylish and should be great for personal printing, scanning and copying. It starts up within seconds, and has a self-opening paper output tray. Priced at only PHP 3,495, the MP287 still has additional features like HD movie printing and Photo Fix capabilities. It fits most paper sizes up to Legal and outputs up to 4800 DPI.

The Pixma iP4970

Next up is the Pixma iP4970 – a printer designed as a dedicated photo printing device. It uses Fine, Hybrid, and ChromaLife100+ technologies to deliver great images with long lasting print quality. Software bundled include HD movie printing, and PhotoPrint EX to edit and print great pictures from your library. It is priced at PHP 6,495 and features Fun Image Filters, Direct Disc Printing, and automated 2-way back to back (paper saving) Auto Duplex Printing, among others. It can fit paper sizes up to Legal and has a maximum DPI of 9600.

The Pixma MG5370

The Pixma MG5370 is one of the two new All-In-One’s that have networking capabilities. Designed for mid-range photo printing tasks, it has WiFi (and optional Bluetooth) to both connect to the network for printing tasks and wirelessly print from consumer electronic gadgets like iPhones, iPads or even Android devices. It can directly print from memory cards or Pictbridge and the user can use the printer’s 3.0” LCD screen to navigate menus and choose options. Priced at PHP 8,495, it has most of the features mentioned in the models above, including HD movie printing, Photo Fix, Fun Image Filters, Duplex back to back printing, direct disc and memory card printing, as well as mobile and cloud printing. (From Picasa Web Albums) It can print on paper up to Legal size and has a maximum DPI of 9600.

The Pixma MG8270

Finally, the most robust of all these new Pixmas is the MG8270. It features an Intelligent Touch System where it makes use of a touch area near the LCD panel to navigate through the options. For better menu navigation, only the relevant keys are lit up – thus making it much easier to manipulate. It is designed with 6 individual ink cartridges to provide the best image quality possible. It also has film scanning capabilities for photographers who would like to digitize their memories from their film cameras. It features HD movie printing, Photo Fix, Fun Image Filters, Duplex printing, direct disc and memory card printing, mobile, and cloud printing. For the pricetag of PHP 19,295, you’ll be able to print on paper up to Legal size, and up to a DPI of 9600. To top it off, this All-In-One features WiFi networking capabilities as well as a larger 3.5” screen for navigation.

All potential buyers of these new Pixma printers should also know that they’re having a promo where you can get free Rudy Project Sprint Sets (sports watch + arm band). All you need to do is buy a Pixma with the corresponding ink cartridge, or 4 Canon genuine inks, or a Pixma E500 and you’ll be eligible for the Sprint Set worth PHP 4,300. To claim, all you need to do is to submit a photocopy of the sales invoice of the printer and ink to Canon’s head office or any authorized promoter, regional office, or service center.
