Recently, Bigfoot Entertainment held the press screening for its new Filipino-American movie titled “Deep Gold”. The movie, shot in the Philippines, features local and international artists embroiled in a action-packed race to find a sunken airplane filled with gold bullions. Starring Bebe Pham, Jaymee Ong, and our very own Joel Torre, the film promises some great visual effects produced by Los Angeles-based Bigfoot Group in cooperation with its local studios in Cebu. Deep Gold will be premiering to the public starting today, August 31st on selected cinemas nationwide.

“Deep Gold” stars Vietnamese model Bebe Pham as Amy Sanchez in her investigation towards the mysterious disappearance of her boyfriend’s plane carrying the Philippines’ largest stash of discovered gold bullions. Feared to have crashed in the waters near Palawan, she and her sister Jess (Jaymee Ong) must use their freediving and navigation skills to find the truth about her lover, and to find the fate of the millions in gold lying deep in the ocean floor. Of course, they are not alone. Treasure hunters and unscrupulous elements are also looking for the gold. With millions at stake, you’ll never know who to trust – or can they. Did her boyfriend survive the crash and can they find the plane in time, or will their ruthless competition get there first – and forsake their lives in the process? You’ll have to watch to find out.

Shot on 3D in the waters and streets of Cebu and Palawan, “Deep Gold” promises to deliver a thrill ride which hits closer to home with its local cast and flavor. It will be showing in cinemas nationwide starting August 31st, today. If you’re looking to support some local talents, scenery, and movie production, all while witnessing a fun action movie at the same time, then we urge you to check it out at your local theatres – and in 3D if you can.
