Nokia Launches X1-01 & C2-00 Dual Standby Phones

It’s been a long time coming, but Nokia has finally launched their dual standby devices for the Philippine market. The two new offerings are the Nokia X1-01 dual-SIM music phone and the C2-00 hotswappable dual-SIM device. With a continued demand for capabilities to use multiple carriers with one device locally, Nokia is bringing the fight back to the dual-SIM market with these phones.

Nokia X1-01

The Nokia X1-01 is a dual-SIM phone for music lovers that want long-lasting battery life, clear audio, powerful speakers, and the flexibility of using two SIMs at the same time. It supports Micro SD cards up to 16gb for storing lots of audio, and can play music continuously for up to 36 hours. As with most Nokia music phones you can control music playback through dedicated keys on the side, which greatly improves the experience. It will be available in Dark Grey, Red, Ocean Blue and Orange for an SRP of PHP 1,990.

Nokia C2-00

The Nokia C2-00 is already quite famous with ads talking about its convenient Easy Swap feature. The SIM slot of the phone can be opened, replaced with a different one, and be ready for use immediately without a need for rebooting or turning off the unit. It supports up to 32GB of extra storage, and can access the internet with both SIM cards. It will come in Dynamic Grey, Jet Black, Magenta, and Snow White for an SRP of PHP 2,990.

Both these phones have custom memory for up to five different SIM cards for settings such as SIM names, call, SMS and data settings. That should prove to make switching SIMs often more convenient for users who need to communicate with their friends and families over multiple mobile providers.
