Just launched today in China is the Motorola Edge S. The Edge S delivers exemplary specifications and good camera setup. Now according to a latest report, the device is poised to launch as the “G100” outside the Chinese borders.
Information from Evan Blass show that the Edge S, or referred as “Nio” in his report, will be launched under the G series internationally.
Usually, Motorola offers midrange handsets under the G series. But now, the G100 is not only the first to have a Snapdragon 800 series mobile platform, but also has capabilities to connect via an HDMI and function as a PC a la Samsung DeX.
The Motorola Edge S, or soon to be G100, has a Snapdragon 870 chipset, up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It has a quad camera setup with the 64MP leading it. Two selfie cameras are on the front that are 16MP and the other 8MP is capable of ultrawide shots. Juicing up the device is a 5000mAh battery that charges via 20W charging.
