The smartphone market is not complete without the entry level and budget devices. These offer the smartphone experience for less. Albeit, it comes with watered down specifications and features to reach inexpensive prices. Now, there are multiple reports about a wave of devices to be equipped with Snapdragon 460 mobile platform from Qualcomm.

What is the Snapdragon 460? 

Announced months ago, the Snapdragon 460 is Qualcomm’s latest addition to their 400 series, which ranks at the lower tier of their eschelons catering for budget devices. 

The chip is equipped with eight ARM Cortex cores with a semi-custom 2nd generation Kryo architecture (240). Four of the cores are of A73 design and runs at 1.8GHz speeds the other four is A53 design which the clockspeed is not have been described. It is paired with an Adreno 610 GPU, first Adreno 600 series for the Snapdragon 400 lineup, for graphical intensive applications. 

Other features LTE Category 13, Bluetooth 5.1, 5GHz WiFi support,1080p display, and 48MP/Dual 16MP support are harnessed within thanks to the Hexagon 683 DSP, Qualcomm X11 Modem, and Spectra 340 ISP. 

All of these are built at an 11nm manufacturing process.

1. Vivo Y20

The Vivo Y20 surfaces on Geekbench 5. It had respectable scores for a budget device. The listing reveals that it runs on Android 10 and has an adequate 4GB RAM. Aside from the Geekbench listing, it had appeared on different certifications such as Bluetooth and an Indonesian certification website. No launch date is in sight for now. 

2. Motorola Moto E7 Plus 

Evan Blass of evleaks has shared a blurry poster which named the said device. Aside from the Snapdragon 460 mobile platform being mentioned, it’ll feature a 5,000mAh battery and 4/64GB memory combination.

Renders of the OPPO A53 surfaces on Twitter which features two colorways and already, almost complete key specifications of the device which are listed below.

Aside from the specifications, the device has a 3.5mm headphone port, a display with a punch-hole cutout and a rear fingerprint scanner.

4. Nokia 3.4

A listing has been spotted from Geekbench’s database, which reads “HMD Global DoctorStrange”. Rumors spread that this should be the Nokia 3.4. Aside from the Snapdragon 460, it had 3GB RAM and runs on Android 10.
