Consider this the best piece of news that can ever happen for consumers who are still apprehensive in buying their phones online: Xiaomi is about to open a Pop-Up store in Megamall for a whole week near the end of this month! That means potential buyers can now see and feel the Chinese brand’s excellent phones for themselves and make a decision on the spot. The awesome prices of the Xiaomi Mi3 (PHP 10,599) and the Redmi 1S (PHP 5,599) also still stand – no doubt giving other brands at the mall something to compete with in pricing.
Xiaomi Mi3 – PHP 10,599 (Buy it here)
Xiaomi Redmi 1S – PHP 5,599
The Pop-Up Store won’t last long – its going to be open in Megamall Upper G/F Building B starting October 23 until 29. That’s a whole week for you to check out their phones and accessories so you should definitely drop by!
Our Take: This is definitely a great move on Xiaomi’s part to hit more markets as some consumers are scared of buying phones online. If you ask us, we’re 100% comfortable in Lazada’s online store, but we won’t force you. One of the reasons why Xiaomi can maintain such a low price is because they don’t have to maintain full retail stores and pay salespeople and rent for that store. This Pop-Up store changes things a bit but it looks like Xiaomi isn’t passing on the expenses to the consumer, which is great. Also, we hope they open more pop-up stores in the future in different malls in the country. As far as the Xiaomi brand is concerned, they’re a highly respected brand and their products are top notch. They’ve also recently opened a nice new service center in Greenhills should you need any repairs. So if you haven’t yet, check out a Xiaomi product soon!
