Inside this paper box is a portable amplified speaker

So at the HTC Sensation and Wildfire S launch here in Manila, HTC gave us a small unassuming little package that seemed to look like a simple CD case, but when we got home we realized it was a bit like HTC’s motto: "Quietly Brilliant". Inside the cardboard case is a portable speaker system that could solve your music or podcast listening problems when you’re in public places with friends. If you’ve ever owned a smartphone, then you’ll understand that you really can’t play audio over those speakers without straining your ears if its not 3 inches away. With this small paper box, you got it all solved.

The product is made by a company called New Transducers Limited, and we hope they mass produce these as cheap portable speakers. Currently, it seems like they had these custom made for HTC as a nice little giveaway – and it did leave us impressed. Check out this video to see how it all works:

It’s a great little bag item to consume simple audio files or songs, YouTube, podcasts and the like. We’d definitely pick these up. Maybe CD-R King could make some cheap knockoffs for us. We can only hope.
