A rumor from Weibo claims that OnePlus will be having an array of Qualcomm Snapdragon processors in their portfolio for next year.
Digital Chat Station posted a Weibo claiming the lineup will be equipped with Snapdragon processors. Three processors were mentioned, the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 8 Gen 2 and the yet to be announced 7 Gen 3.
From speculation, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 device is said to be the follow up to the OnePlus 11, the OnePlus 12. The phonemaker is reportedly to focus on its cameras with it having a 50MP Sony IMX9 camera and a 64MP telephoto shooter. It will also have a 2K OLED panel, up to 24GB/1T, 5400mAh and 100W fast charging. Expected launch date is rumored to be late this year or early 2024.
Moving forward, the OnePlus Ace3, or 12R in some markets, is expected to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Aside from the SoC, it is rumored to carry a 50MP main camera, 5500mAh battery, 100W fast charging and a 6.7-inch 1.5K OLED panel. OnePlus reportedly plans to launch this by January 2024.
At the very last, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 device is claimed to be the next OnePlus Nord. Since the last of the series is the OnePlus Nord 3, its name is subject for debate. OnePlus, like the other BBK brands, is keen to tetraphobia or they steer clear in naming their device with the number 4. So they might name it the Nord 5 all together. Naming aside, not much is known about this device. Adding to that, speculation online sees its processor might not be as good as the well received Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 with its CPU architecture downgraded due to the high cost of the 7+ Gen 2.
