Qualcomm already announced their next Snapdragon Tech Summit which will be this October 24-26 at Maui, Hawaii. At the event will likely be the announcement of the upcoming next generation flagship mobile platform, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Now there are rumors which devices will be having the alleged SoC.
According to the report, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be used on the vivo X100 Pro+, Redmi K70 series, OnePlus 12, Xiaomi 14 series, iQOO 12 and the realme GT 5 series. The said devices are expected to launch as early as November this year.
As for the specifications of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The SoC will be having a 1+5+2 CPU setup. The mid cores will be two clusters of 2+3 design. Qualcomm will still be using ARM’s compute solution, the ARM Cortex X4, Cortex A720 and Cortex A520. This will be paired with the new Adreno 750 GPU.
Benchmarks reveal improvement with it scoring 1.77Million on AnTuTu v10, 1700 and 6600 on Geekbench 5 for single and multithreaded tests respectively. Different tipsters state that the SoC will be a minor improvement over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
