HTC has been quiet with its smartphone portfolio for quite a while. Though a recent leak[1] from a certification reveals a possible return to the midrange market.
A recent Bluetooth certification suggests that the brand will be having a new handset with the Snapdragon 778G or Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. Aside from that, the devices will be capable of Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 6E. The following SoCs were identified as the certification indicate the use of Qualcomm’s Fastconnect 6700 modem.
The following devices spotted with the modem are 2QC9200, 2QC9100, and 2QCB100.
As of the moment, these are the only information known regarding the suspected devices. Other specifications, launch date nor its availability are known yet.
Even though not much information has been unraveled with this recent leak, this puts a good light that HTC is working on something for the midrange phone market.
