MediaTek Dimensity 9200 will reportedly get a mid year refresh.

Like Qualcomm, MediaTek is no stranger introducung a mid year refresh of their cream of the crop SoCs. While this year, rumors state that its a stretch for Qualcomm with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 already excellent. This is quite opposite in comparison to MediaTek as the “Dimensity 9200+” is reportedly in the pipeline.
Weibo blogger experiencemore posted a Weibo blog hinting that there would be a Dimensity 9200+. The user also stated that the 9200+ will be coming on a Redmi and ASUS ROG smartphone.
The chip’s specification is currently not known. But if we were going to guess, it would be the Dimensity 9200 but with speedier performance thanks to a boost in frequency on its CPU and GPU cores. Better AI and NPU is also possibly included as well.
As for the rumored devices, our guesses point to a new device under the ROG Phone 7 series and the Redmi K60 Ultra to come this Q3 2023.
The launch of the chip nor any of the rumored devices is still not known.
