A new screenshot of Qualcomm’s new midrange SoC has been shared by a reliable Weibo blogger. From the looks of it, it garners a big jump in overall performance from previous Snapdragon 7 chips.
Digital Chat Station shared a screenshot of an AnTuTu benchmark result of an unknown realme device. Currently having a part number of SM7475, the new Snapdragon 7 series chip scores over a Million points in AnTuTu.
By comparison, the last Snapdragon 7 series chip only achieves 560,000 with the 7 Gen 1 and 580,000 with the Snapdragon 782G exclusive to Honor. The huge jump is rumored to be the architecture itself of the new Snapdragon 7 series chip. It borrows the Cortex X2, A710 and A510 setup of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 albeit running at slower frequencies. The Adreno 730 GPU is also tipped to be retained also running at lower frequencies at well.
The new SM7475 is tipped to be featured on the new POCO X5 GT and the realme GT Neo5 SE to launch soon in China. It replacing the current Snapdragon 7 series will be one of the biggest year over year improvement on a series thanks to the derived architecture from Snapdragon 8.
