The Tecno Phantom X had interesting specifications and focused in its design and display. The cameras is also noted as it had a 50MP 1/1.3″ sensor. The continuation seems to shape up as a massive upgrade, performance-wise.
Phantom X had a MediaTek Helio G95, a decent chip powering most of budget to midrange offerings. The Phantom X2 series has been teased by the phonemaker to have a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip. Albeit not the newest, the Dimensity 9000 still packs a punch scoring almost equivalent to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but more efficient. It is also built on the same manufacturing process as the Apple A16, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and 8 Gen 2.
With Phantom being a budget offering from Tecno, the Dimensity 9000 makes more sense in its flagship product instead of the 9200.
They also teased a Super Night mode on the announcement hinting that one of the devices on the X2 series will have a camera-focused position. The X2 series is set to be unveiled this December 7. Information on how many phones are in the lineup is still under wraps.
