The rumored Samsung Galaxy M54 shapes to be an outlier, likened to the A90 5G and Quantum 2, with its specifications not looking like a midranger typically has. Midrangers from others and Samsung itself have midrange SoCs with a balanced camera, screen and overall configuration.
According to The Pixel, the upcoming Galaxy M54 will boast a Snapdragon 888 processor. At this point, it’s a flagship SoC from two years back. Despite the age, it still punches above its weight especially if put on a midrange device like the M54.
With the SoC set aside, the Galaxy M54 seems to have typical specifications of a midranger. The handset will greet the user with a 6.67″ Full HD Super AMOLED display that refreshes at 90Hz. The panel harbors a circular punchhole cutout which the 32MP selfie camera resides.
The camera system on the rear on the other hand, sports a 64MP main sensor, an ultrawide camera either 8MP or 12MP, a duo of 5MP depth and macro camera. This makes the rear system a quad camera effort. An 8/128GB lone memory variant will be paired with the Snapdragon 888. The battery is pegged at 6000mAh and charges at 25W.
The device is set to retail in Vietnam for 10Mln VND or PHP 24.4K equivalent. The handset is expected to be announced at the end of 2022 or early next year, 2023.
