Xiaomi announces the Civi 2 in China. The Civi series has always been known to the market as the prim and proper entrant with usually attractive design labguage and souped up cameras.
Inside thd Civi 2 is the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip. The silicon was received lukewarm at best, with it not being a huge jump from the Snapdragon 778G series offering almost the same performance. It is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage.
The design language has been loaned from the Xiaomi 12 series With it having a 10bit 6.55″ Full HD 120Hz curved OLED display at the front, the selfie cameras are located above inside a pill punchhole cutout. Both shooters are 32MP in resolution with one tasked at ultrawide shots. The triple rear cameras are conposed of a 50MP Sony IMX 766 sensor, a 20MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro shooter.
It has a 4500mAh battery and charges at 67W fast charging. The user will be greeted by MIUI 13 on top of Android 12.
Also launched is a Hello Kitty special edition. The prices, without taxes, of the storage variants are listed below.
