The Dimensity 8000 series has already proved itself in providing excellent price to performance with the likes of the POCO X4 GT, OnePlus Ace and the realme GT Neo3. All of them punches above their own weight against competition with the performance rivalling the Snapdragon 888. Now a new price to performance phone is currently rumored.
Digital Chat Station posted a Weibo regarding a new device with the Dimensity 8000 series chip. From the information, it hints that it might not be scheduled anytime soon since the chip is manufactured by TSMC’s 4nm. That points out to the successor of the current 8000 chips which are manufactured by TSMC’s 5nm. While it will take a longer time, this ensures atleast better performance than the current series which are already powerful.
The display’s resolution is measured at 1.5K or 1220p horizontally. Brands like Xiaomi and Huawei already made devices with unconventional resolutions. Though with Digital Chat Station stating its a cost-effective handset, it is likely that Xiaomi will be manufacturing the alleged smartphone. Its last spec stated by the tipster is a 5000mAh that charges at 100W.
Full details regarding the device including the cameras, launch date and price are currently under wraps. As for which phone brand it would come from, it could be from Xiaomi, iQOO or realme using a Chinese panel on the alleged handset.
