Tecno and their Pova lineup has been popular for quite a while by delivering capable smartphones in the budget segment. This is true when they recently launched their Pova 5G here in the Philippines with a Dimensity 900 chip for under PHP 15,000. This time, they are about to expand the Pova family with the Pova 3 according to a new report.
Passionategeekz has tipped that the upcoming Pova 3 will boot up Android 12 out of the box. Another tricker under their sleeve, which the smartphone industry is getting a lot of these days, is the addition of virtual RAM expansion. This is on top of its memory configuration of 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Under the hood is the MediaTek Helio G88 processor. We already have seen this chip a couple of times with the likes of the Infinix Hot 11S and Redmi 10. The new chip brings high refresh rate capabilities for budget devices.
The display of the Pova 3 is an LCD panel and has 120Hz refresh rate support thanks to the Helio G88 processor. The touch polling rate is pegged at 360Hz as well. According to the report, the handset could be powered by a 6000mAh battery that can support 33W fast charging.
