Weeks after the Pro series launched, realme finally unveiled the vanilla version of the realme 9 series. The standard 9 series are composed of two handsets, these are the 9 and 9 SE. Both of them feature 5G capabilities and are priced aggressively for the Indian market.
Starting at 14,999INR(PHP 10k directly converted), the realme 9 5G offers 5G capabilities and more. This is possible with the MediaTek Dimensity 810 chip kitted within. This is paired of either 4/64GB for the base version and up to 6/128GB which costs 2,500INR more (PHP 1.7K). It can charge it’s battery by up to 18W.
Meanwhile the realme 9 5G SE, with SE stands for Speed Edition, is a juiced up version of the 9 series that punches above it’s weight. It incorporates a Snapdragon 778G chip which is more powerful even compared to the realme 9 Pro+. Both storage variants of this model has 128GB of storage with either 6GB of RAM or 8GB which are 19,999INR and 22,999INR respectively (PHP 13.7K and PHP 15.7K). The battery can be filled up by its 30W charging tech.
Realme blended the 9 5G and the speed edition with a 48MP triple camera setup with two additional 2MP shooters. A 16MP selfie camera with IPS displays on the front which the 9 has 90Hz and the Speed Edition has 144Hz. Both handsets are powered with a 5000mAh battery, Android 11 on top of realme UI 2.0.
It remains unknown, as of writing, when is the possible availability of both devices in the Philippines
