Redmi finally unveiled the K50 lineup in China and they are nothing short of impressive. The K50 roster are equipped with new and powerful Dimensity chips, large batteries and even 2K displays.

Starting with the top model, it has the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. The chip ties and outpaces the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in some benchmark scores and sustained performance respectively. The new chip clocks 3.05GHz in speed and is built on TSMC’s 4nm node. The storage paired can go up to 512GB.

A 108MP shooter from Samsung is the main star of the Pro’s camera layout.

The standard K50 model has a toned down MediaTek Dimensity 8100 which compared to the Snapdragon 888 in performance. Also built by TSMC on their 5nm node and runs at 2.85GHz. In place of the main sensor, a 48MP Sony Imx 582 is fluffed inside the device.

Redmi also revealed the K40S which is very similar, on paper, to the Redmi K40, POCO F3 in global markets with some key differences. This comes with OIS support, new design and 67W fast charging. It retains the Snapdragon 870 in performance and equipped with the same battery capacity.

The K40S, K50 and K50 Pro share the same accompanying camera sensors, an 8MP ultrawide shooter and 5MP macro camera. They all come installed with Android 12 with Xiaomi’s MIUI skin. The K50 and the K40S both support 67W fast charging while the Pro version can pump 120W.

While all of them have 6.67″ 120Hz OLED screen, only the Pro and the K50 have a Quad HD display while the K40S dons a 1080p panel, the three have a punchhole cutout with the same 20MP selfie camera. All of the main cameras have OIS across the three.

The Chinese prices and specification summary are listed below. The three are expected to be introduced under the POCO brand in global markets.
