A new Motorola budget device under the G lineup has been announced. device bears an interesting chip under the hood, it is new budget MediaTek chip.
The Moto G22 is harnessed with a yet to be announced MediaTek Helio G37 chipset. The G37 won’t have 5G but its features are undocumented. That is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. The Helio G37 is mainly powered by eight ARM Cortex A53 cores with four of them pegged at 2.3GHz and the other four at 1.8GHz.
The display on the front is a 6.5″ 720p LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. The 16MP selfie camera is encased at a punchhole cutout at the top portion of the panel. Cameras on the rear are a 50MP shooter, an 8MP ultrawide snapper and a telemacro lens at 2MP completing the trio.
The G22 is powered by Android 12 and a 5000mAh battery and charges at 15W. It runs on Android 12 and comes with a 10W power brick included in the box It will be available on White, Iceberg Blue and Cosmic Black colorways and will retail for 170€ first available in Latin America, Europe and Middle East.
