Since the K20, Redmi has been puking out more than capable premium phones at lower costs. This is true with their newest K50 lineup, the K50 Gaming Edition. The phone has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, a high refresh rate AMOLED panel and even boasts it’s 120W fast charging technology.

As a brief summary, the K50 Gaming Edition packs in Qualcomm’s best, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. In case you missed it, the chip already scores 1 Million points in AnTuTu v9. This is accompanied by up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Its cameras is lead by a Sony IMX 686 shooter coupled with an 8MP ultrawide and another 2MP shooter.

The 20MP selfie camera is encased within the 6.67″ Full HD Super AMOLED panel that refreshes at 120Hz. Booting up the device is Android 12 on top of MIUI 13. It is also kitted with a 4700mAh battery that can charge up to 120W.

With specifications aside, the notable features of the K50 Gaming is the inclusion of physical shoulder keys for gaming on the right side of the frame. It also improves haptics with Xiaomi’s CyberEngine x-axis motor. Another thing to note is Redmi packed in dual JBL-tuned stereo speaker system.

The firm developed a new dual vapor chamber cooling the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. The cooling system measures 4860mm² in total.

Its display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and also with improved touch polling rate of up to 480Hz. The Full HD OLED panel also outputs 10-bit color.
