Upcoming Lenovo “Halo” To Come With Bleeding Edge Qualcomm Chip, 144Hz OLED display

Lenovo Legion is popular in bringing gaming focused devices, especially laptops and smarphones. Now, the firm seems to be expanding the brand with a much more toned down device in terms of gamer-esque looks with the Legion. The device still packs a punch when it comes to its specifications.

Popular tipster evleaks has shared a render on his Twitter account a Lenovo Legion device render with its specifications. According to him, the handset is codenamed “Halo” and will come with bleeding edge specifications.

First, it will be fitted with am SM8475 chipset. This is an unannounced Qualcomm chipset rumored to be an improved version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Improvements like a tweak in CPU or GPU frequency and the most popular switch from Samsung o TSMC node. Coupled with the chip is up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Kitted inside the handset is a 5000mAh battery alongside the 68W charging tech to fill that up with.

The cameras are composed of a 50MP main shooter and two unknown sensors which are 13MP and 2MP. A 16MP selfie shooter will be inside the punchhole cutout.

As for the renders, compared to previous Legion phones, this is a roned down design and resembles like any other smartphone. A Legion branding on the rear which has a frosted glass finish juddging from the rendrs. The cameras reside at the rectangular module at the top left corner of the back. Then the flat display has a punchhole cutout at the top center.

The launch date of the handset will be Q3 this year.
