Realme is readying to launch the 9 series some time this quarter. The device will bring key upgrades over its predecessors including a new chip (finally) and 5G capabilities.
Starting with the specifications, the 9 Pro is reported to have a 6.59″ Full HD Super AMOLED panel that refreshes at 120Hz. Powering the handset is a slightly more powerful Snapdragon 695 5G. Don’t let the name fool you, the 695 is actually 12% faster than the Snapdragon 720G chipset in terms of benchmarks. Aside from that, it also brings 5G capability for the device. The display also dons an in display fingerprint scanner which is kind of uncommon with manufacturers like Xiaomi moving to side mounted scanners.
In terms of memory cinfiguration, the handset is expected to top out at 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage with microSD card expansion. The main shooters of the 9 Pro is expected to be a 64MP+8MP+2MP shooters while a 16MP selfie snapper.
The device is expected to charge at 33W to fill its 5000mAh battery.
Aside from the specifications, the device renders and leaked hands on images are shown below.
As for the renders, the design looks to be similar to the GT Neo 2 and realme 9i released earlier with the same layout when it comes to their camera modules.
