Realme started their budget version of their main lineup with the “i” suffix starting with the realme 3i in India and 5i here in the Philippines. Now, the series is poised to be continued with the 9i on the horizon with numerous leaks, rumors and renders circulating the internet for quite a while. Now, hands-on images already surfaced out along with its expected launch date.
The appearance of the phone on the hands-on images of the device in blue is no surprise. It is just as expected from the leaked concept renders based on the actual device before. Punchhole cutout on the top left corner of the display and the rear shows some resemblance to the realme GT Neo 2 with the camera module.
As a refresher, the specifications of the handset include a Snapdragon 680 chip, a 6.59-inch Full HD 90Hz IPS panel, a 50MP main camera, and a 16MP selfie shooter on the punchhole cutout. The device also runs on Android 11 with realmeUI 2.0 skin and kitted with 5000mAh battery with support of up to 33W fast charging.
The 9i also has a sidemounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone port. The device will be launching in Vietnam this January 10 and expected to retail for an equivalent of 200$.
