Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro Launches With Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 And Flagship Specifications

Xiaomi is usually early in the game in terms of releasing their first flagship devices for the upcoming year. As far as I can remember, this started with the Mi 9 series with the Snapdragon 855. With that aside, this year Xiaomi has already launched their 2022 flagship series, the Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and 12X. All of them come with updated hardware and design at a pretty reasonable asking price.

Starting with the Xiaomi 12, the phonemaker decided to step down from last year here and took the compact approach. The device flaunts a 6.28″ Full HD sAMOLED display that refreshes at 120Hz. They have shown many times, counting the teasers, that the device is ergonomic at one hand usage. Qualcomm’s latest is also on the device with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 under the hood. The chip is accompanied by 8 or 12GB RAM and storage up to 256GB. The cameras for the Xiaomi 12 consists of a 50MP wide shooter, a 13MP ultrawide camera at 123-degree field of view, and a 5MP with OIS telephoto camera that can zoom up to 3x optical, 10x hybrid and 30x digital. The phone is loaded with a 4500mAh battery that supports 67W fast wired charging and 30W wireless charging.

The Xiaomi 12 also has a younger sibling, the Xiaomi 12X with almost the exact same set of specifications with just the processor swapped. Instead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, it has the Snapdragon 870.

Pro version also has similar specifications with the standard with some key differences. For starters, the screen is now a 6.73″ Quad HD display with LTPO technology that auto adjusts refresh rate from 10-120Hz. The secondary and third shooter are now replaced with 50MP sensors. Charging and battery gets an upgrade as well with 4600mAh and 120W wired, 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless.

As for all of them, they have a 32MP selfie shooters
