Motorola G51 5G Launches In China With New Qualcomm Chipset

It was just recent that Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 480+ 5G chipset for budget 5G devices and now Motorola launches the G51 in China being the first handset to feature the new chip.

As a refresher, the Snapdragon 480+ 5G chipset is a binned version of the Snapdragon 480 5G, with clockspeeds higher by 10%. The chip is an 8nm octqcore configuration with an Adreno 619 GPU for games.

Aside from the processor, the device has a 6.81″ Full HD IPS display which refreshes at 120Hz and has a 240Hz touch polling rate. Pairing the chip is a UFS 2.2 storage technology and up to 8GB RAM.

Its cameras on the rear are composed of mainly a 50MP shooter, an 8MP secondary and 2MP tertiary cameras. The selfie camera is situated at the top portion of the display on a punchhole cutout.

Poweing the device is a 5000mAh battery and runs on Android 11 software.

The device retails in China for 1499CNY for the 8/128GB variant. No details for a potential Philippine launch.
